Accessibility Features
Screen Reader Support
Our app is designed to work with popular screen readers including:
- VoiceOver (iOS/macOS)
- TalkBack (Android)
- NVDA (Windows)
- JAWS (Windows)
Voice Control
Paws Emergency includes voice command support for hands-free operation during emergencies. Say "Emergency" or "Help" to activate voice-guided assistance.
Color and Contrast
We maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text. Color is never the only means of conveying information.
Motion and Animation
Animations respect the "reduce motion" system preference. Users who have enabled reduced motion in their device settings will see simplified transitions.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some limitations exist:
- Some third-party map components may have limited accessibility
- PDF exports may require additional accessibility processing
- Real-time chat features may have delayed screen reader announcements
